The Process At Home program being sold by Angel Stevens is a rebate processing course for those looking to work from home. The work seems simple and legitimate enough, you are filling out what appears to be rebate forms for various services and companies online. You are presented with the notion that if you can type you can earn several hundred dollars a day. Now, this sort of earning potential does exist online, but I can assure you that it does not involve processing rebates. Allow me to elaborate...
As a Process At Home - rebate processor you are instructed to set up an account with Pay Pal, Pay Dot Com and various forms of free and paid advertising on the internet.
Step one is to pick a product and/or service in Pay Dot Com that you would like to market. Step two is to then choose a method in which to market that product, be it Google Pay Per Click, Blogger, EZine Articles or online classifieds ads. This advertising is what will lead consumers to the website of the product you chose to sell back on Pay Dot Com.
This is where the rebate comes into play. It is at this point that Process At Home instructs you to offer a rebate in your advertising with the idea that this will give you an edge and therefor generate a sale. But, the rebate is just a portion of your commission. Like I alluded to at the beginning, Process At Home has take the basic principles of affiliate marketing and added the rebate element to make their program appear different from the other affiliate marketing programs out there.
So, not only are you tricked into thinking that you will be employed and have a job as a rebate processor, you are left with poor training as well. Process At Home barely provides the education needed to generate sales with affiliate products. The fact that they are suggesting Google Pay Per Click, an expensive and very tricky from of online advertising is absurd. You can find equal if not better training for free from Commission Junction, another third party affiliate service available to online marketers.
As if this was not enough, Process At Home's entire program is based on a direct violation of the affiliate terms and services. It states clearly in the fine print of the user agreement you clicked yes to that you will in no way alter or manipulate the pricing of the products you are going to promote.
Last but not least is the rebate checks! Process At Home has you set up an account with Pay Pal for the sole purpose of processing these rebates. This means that you will need to monitor and time line of all your sales as well as any money back guarantees of each product. And what if a customer does not use Pay Pal, how are you going to issue the rebate? Write them a check?
At this point, you are probably saying, forget this. I want nothing to do with any of this B.S. I don't care if affiliate marketing is a real, legitimate job. I want to be able to just do a few hours of work on my computer and get paid.
Okay, that is a simple enough request, but there is a very important element that you must understand. No matter how many ads you see online telling you otherwise, very few work from home jobs exist in the sense that you may be seeking. And, even if you were able to land one of the highly sought after positions, you would still be self employed.
Jobs that allow you to work from home and hold a position as an employee or independent contractor usually involve some time traveling as well time in the corporate office. Other jobs include tasks like recruiting, copy writing and telemarketing. Many of these jobs are on a commission basis and are usually part time or temp positions.
* Customer Service Agent
* Reservation Specialist
*Paid Surveys
There are many more, these are just a few suggestions.
But, no matter what job title you choose to pursue, you are an independent contractor and are essentially working for yourself. You are responsible for meeting deadlines, organizing and prioritizing tasks and managing your time effectively. But just as important is knowing how to position yourself in front of those in need of your services.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but this means that you still need to learn how to market. Internet marketing is unavoidable if you want to be apart of the work from home industry. Now, marketing does not mean selling. Marketing simply means using various tools on the internet, paid and free, to promote you and your skills.
"Where do I learn to market on the internet?" There are many ways, paid and free, but buy with caution. I have found free information on the subject that is fantastic and I have also purchased information that wasn't worth ten cents. Do your research and buy wisely.
