If you're new to the game, breaking into Pay Per Click marketing (PPC) can be quite a daunting task. There's so much information out there on the web about PPC, but what advice can you trust? If you don't have the right guide, you'll lose a ton of money really fast. That's why you'll want to join a membership site like PPC Coach. For a monthly fee, PPC Coach will teach you everything you want to know about PPC. You'll also get plenty of tools and a forum full of helpful members to help you out.

PPC Coach is a monthly subscription service. For $50 a month youll get access to the PPC-Coach membership site and one new method each month. When you first signup, you'll get access to the Month 1 method. The method described will also include the exact merchant offer to use, although youll want to choose your own to avoid saturation.

As of now, there are almost 1500 members, and more than 50k posts in the PPC Coach forums. There are lots of informative posts being posted every day on the forum. PPC coach himself is always online answering questions, along with Coach v2.0. You'll also find lots of great posts from members like SteveL and Harry1970 who are regulars and are quite the PPC marketers themselves. I think the forums are probably the most valuable part of the PPC Coach membership.

It's never problem getting one of your landing pages reviewed by other members, or getting someone to take a look at your ad copy. There's always someone on the forum that's ready to help you out.

On the PPC Coach main page, you'll have access to the videos. These videos are Camtasia screencasts created and narrated by PPC Coach himself. I really like the fact that Coach shows real life examples which he uses to explain the topic he's describing. Most of the videos range from 15-20 minutes long, and they cover everything from keyword research, to creating landing pages, to using the PPC-Coach tools, and more.

The tools that come with your PPC Coach membership are great as well. Landing Site Generator is a handy php script which makes it painless to set up a landing page. Just modify a few variables in the configuration file and you're up and running. This is an easy way to get started with the Month 1 method.

Youll also get access to the Keyword Tracking System tool which allows you to track a several variables of your PPC campaigns including gross margin, roi and epc for each campaign, adgroup and keyword. Theres the Adwords Magic Tool, which is a web based tool that allows you to input a keyword, and it will spit out thousands of variations in under 30 seconds. Youll save a lot of time using this one. These are just a sampling of the tools accessible to you as a PPC-Coach member.

The actual PPC Coach site itself could use some improvement. Its not the nicest looking page in the world, and I think it could be better organized to help people find information. I also think some of the info on the site could use a little updating as some of the stuff written there hasn't been changed in awhile. I wish for example, that there was a better Quick Start Guide. I don't find the current one all that helpful.

I also think it would be good for PPC Coach to offer a trial membership to prospective members. Currently, there's no way to get a refund if you don't like what you see. However, I think that the quality of PPC Coach is top notch and you'll probably want to stay on for awhile.

PPC Coach is aimed more to those new to PPC. The month 1 methods are not really unique and I've seen them described in other places before. I'm sure other people who have been doing PPC for awhile will want to skip to the more advanced PPC methods. Still, the community and the tools are a compelling reason for even the expert PPC marketing to join.

PPC Coach is definitely well worth the membership. You'll learn all the basics of PPC, gain access to all the tools and the great PPC Coach community to help you out. That's really all you need to get started. So give PPC Coach a shot, and start making some money today.

First let me define some Web 2.0 platforms:

1. Video. Sites like Youtube, Google video, Metacafe.

2. Facebook

3. MySpace

4. Twitter.

All of these sites are places where people can interact and socialize with others. But the real beauty of these sites (and other web 2.0 platforms of which there are many) is that people can share opinions, hear 'insider information' from one another, and interact in a more "real world" environment...similar to the offline world.

Web 2.0 is all about giving personality and relationship to the online world. Technology allows us to go to the next level and have human relationships regardless of distance. From the distant history to the present, people want relationships.

Let's consider online commerce. The traditional ecommerce or corporate website builds little relationship, and consequently, little trust. Take a website with video that incorporates a place for customer/viewer feedback and all of a sudden you have interaction. This second kind of website will see much greater sales--assuming the video and interactive components are well done.

How can this work?

Let's hope the answer is obvious. It's not just about human interaction and relationships. People go online for information, not to be sold. The real world is full of constant marketing and advertising. When people flip on their computers they're looking for good content, opinions, and real VALUE from people who can be trusted. Web 2.0 is the tool that makes this possible.

People new to Adobe Illustrator often say that they find the program complex and hard work. When we hold Adobe Illustrator classes in London, we acknowledge the need to help delegates get rid of the belief that Illustrator is a difficult piece of software to use. We have found that there are three main aspects to showing users that Illustrator is no harder or more annoying than any other application.

The first thing is, we are always reminding new users of the ease with which you can change back your drawing to a state earlier than the point where it has gone wrong. Also, we constantly remind delegates that they must be on the right tool in order for a given operation is to work. As well as this, we give them an insight into the subtle and useful visual feedback provided by Illustrator as you create and manipulate elements within your drawing.

Illustrator beginners will often hit a roadblock where they are unable to carry out a certain operation because Illustrator will not permit it at that point in time or under the current circumstances. For example, they might want to change the size of an object and they end up rotating or moving it around the page instead.

The key factor in avoiding these types of errors is to keep looking at the various signals that the program provides, in particular those signals relating to the cursor appearance. For example, if you are attempting to resize a rectangle, you can only do this when your cursor changes to a slanted line with an arrow at each end (This indicates that your cursor is now in the correct position).

Another thing that new users do is attempt to modify elements in their drawing without clicking on the Selection tool first. One example might be they draw a shape using, say, the Polygon tool and then, with the Polygon tool still active, they attempt to move or resize the polygon they have just drawn or click on the page to deselect the polygon. They then get annoyed and puzzled when tiny polygons keep appearing in their drawing or Illustrator's shape dimension window keeps on popping up.

The best way of avoiding these types of mistakes is to keep an eye on the various signals that Illustrator provides, particularly those relating the appearance of the cursor. Thus, for example, if you are trying to resize a rectangle, you can only do so when the cursor changes to a diagonal line with an arrow at both ends (indicating that your cursor is in the correct position).

If you a new user to a program like Illustrator, it is inevitable that you will make errors: things may go slightly wrong or even get completely messed up. The key thing here is to learn the Undo habit. For example, if you accidentally move an object don't try to manually put it back where it was, simply choose Edit - Undo or use the shortcut Control-Z (Command-Z on a Mac). If you Undo too far back, you can use the Redo command to come forward again. (The shortcut for Redo is Control-Shift-Z.)

If your effort to create a drawing has gone completely wrong, the best thing to do is to accept defeat and choose the Revert command from the File menu. This is a way of admitting "This just isn't working. I submit!" The Revert command abandons all of the modifications you have made to the document since it was last saved and can be another useful way of avoiding user headaches.

When we run Adobe training courses, we recognise that part of our job is rid people of this perception of Illustrator as a difficult program to use. We have identified three main elements to making people aware that Illustrator is no more difficult or frustrating than any other program.

To start with, we show them how to read and understand the extensive visual clues provided by the software as you perform various operations. Next, we keep reminding new users how easy it is to revert your drawing back to the way it was before things started going wrong. And, finally, we keep telling our students that they have to highlight the right tool to be able to perform a give operation.

If you a new user to a sophisticated program like Illustrator, you cannot be expected to avoid making errors: things may go a little awry or even get completely screwed up. The key thing here is to learn the power of the Undo command. For example, if you accidentally resize an object don't try to manually change it back to the original size, simply go to the Edit menu and choose Undo or use the keyboard shortcut (Control-Z or Command-Z on Apple Mac). If you Undo too many times, you can always use Edit - Redo to move forward again. (The shortcut for the Redo command is Control-Shift-Z.)

If your whole drawing has gone seriously wrong, perhaps the easiest thing to do is to take it on the chin and choose the Revert command from the File menu. This is like saying "OK, I give up. This isn't working!" File - Revert will discard every change you have made to the file since the last time you saved it and can be a very useful way of avoiding unnecessary frustration.

Hello and welcome, it's nice to have you back. So, from last time we were talking about -ACTION-! This is what we have to do after the notion. Just do it. Piece of cake, I hear you say, how? I mean, I'm off the couch and ready for action. What next?

I am the expert here when it comes to 'thinking about it' and thinking about it a bit more - and then some! During this time nothing is done and more time passes by. I was an expert at it. I like to think I'm not as bad now! If money was to be made from this 'inactivity', I would be very well off! It's too easy to just to drift.

So, when I start protesting about my 'lot', guess what? No one's going to listen. Why should they. While I was sleepwalking through life the odd emergency would arise and I would snap into action and repair the damage. Then, afterwards, back to my state of inertia. Crazy!

It was easy enough to get results in a situation that demanded that...or else. So, occured to me that all I had to do was apply that same urgent energy into a non emergency activity that could get me real results. No panic or runing around headless but on a mission for my life. It was that or sliding back into a coma.

All I did was float through the days to see my way through to the end of the week and payday. I negotiate my way home and carry on, with nothing. Then, at the end of my shift pattern, 3 days off,and...doing nothing. But I could always escape into the mystic world of media piped to me via the TV and stay comatosed.

Every time I think of this it scares me. I'm not just saying that. I don't want to be like the rest of this world where you are expected to go to work, get paid a bit of money and repeat. For the rest of your life. No thank you. I want a life. I WANT A LIFE! A life with a present and a future. Work on the present, the future will follow. Do it right and the life gets even better.

So, as aforementioned, it will be my quest (and pleasure) to explore the countless ways that we can do something and make something, of our lives. Primarily, this will be via the powerful device you have at your fingertips. You think I'm going to say your computer and the net, don't you clever clogs. You are half right. By far the most powerful, most formidable gizmo you have in the 'ol toolbox...is your brain.

So, off we go. You can do it. I repeat, you can do it! If they can do it, you can do it. You are doing it now by reading this. In some small way it will lead to bigger things.
